Don’t roll your eyes! You may already be sick of lists that tell you what new habits you ‘should’ try that will transform your life. At Feel Electric studios however we have some healthy habits that you ‘could’ try in 2022. No pressure then, we just know that the five habits below ‘will’ help you improve your health in addition to your EMS training sessions. So read on for 5 Healthy Habits You Could Try This Year.
If just one 20-minute EMS session a week at Feel Electric studios equals a 2-hour HIIT session, what are you waiting for? There’s only one way to feel the true power of EMS training and that’s to try it for yourself! Book a Free EMS Trial Online to Tone, Firm and Lose Weight with EMS Training.
Surely drinking more water is something that’s as easy to commit to as a 20-minute session of EMS training? Fluids are especially important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle as they keep your body hydrated. Without proper hydration your body won’t function at its best. You’ll feel more tired than usual, you may lose concentration and your body functions will slow down. That’s not ideal for focused exercise like Electro Muscle Stimulation workouts. It doesn’t just have to be water either, healthy fluids can include some teas and coffees. Do try and avoid sports drinks though as many of them contain a liberal sprinkling of sugar.
You may already recognise that it’s important for your health to get enough sleep. Sleep is important for many reasons. Sleep helps control your weight, lowers your risk of serious health issues like diabetes and heart disease and reduces stress and anxiety. How much sleep do you actually need? Most adults typically need 7 or more hours of quality sleep every night. Make it easier to get to sleep by avoiding caffeine and similar stimulants later in the day. You can also make the bedroom a calmer and darker environment by avoiding smartphones, tablets or even TV just before you go to sleep. Another great aid to a proper night’s sleep? An EMS workout!
If your health goal is to tone up and lose unwanted weight, then planning your meals can make an enormous difference. Planning your plate won’t just improve your nutrition, it’ll save you time and money. Organising your meals ahead of time means you never have to ask, ‘what’s for dinner’ and paying for last minute take aways can be avoided. Planning meals also allows you to minimise your food wastage and manage your portion sizes so you’re more likely to eat well for less and less likely to overeat. In addition, meal planning takes the stress out of coming in from work and trying to put a healthy meal on the table. And of course, as you only have to spend 20 minutes at EMS training to start losing weight, you have plenty of time to plan your meals!
Whatever your current level of activity, committing to consistent EMS training will benefit you. Just one 20-minute session a week will see equivalent benefits to a 2-hour HIIT session. No matter your fitness level, EMS workouts are great for weight loss, allowing you to tone up and add lean muscle far quicker than conventional gym workouts. Moving more during the rest of the day will only add to the fantastic fitness foundation that EMS training has provided.
Setting goals can be a powerful way of helping you achieve what you want in life. Identifying something you want to attain or to improve and focusing on the steps you need to achieve those goals can be tricky. Working towards specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely fitness goals though can markedly improve your chances of improving your health. Setting specific fitness goals can provide the motivation you need to commit to regular EMS training for example. Make your goals measurable so you can see your progress and achievable so you can realistically reach those targets. Your fitness goals should also be relevant to you and your lifestyle and you shouldn’t compare them to anybody else’s. Finally make your goals timely by setting a start date and a deadline so you can actually plan all the milestones between you and success.
There is a sixth healthy habit that we could mention…EMS training at Feel Electric studios. Make EMS training your new habit and you’ll soon be reaping the health rewards. In just 20 minutes you can transform your body using safe electrical impulses that activate over 90% of your muscle fibres. Low impact Electro Muscle Stimulation workouts help you build a more toned physique no matter the fitness level you’re starting from.
